International Yoga Day has been celebrated on June 21st each year since 2015, led by the United Nations. Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, first proposed the idea of International Yoga Day during the 69th session of the UN General Assembly. 175 member countries approved this proposal. International yoga day in 2023 will be the 9th international yoga day. The theme for International Yoga Day 2023 is “Humanity”. This day promotes yoga worldwide.

RHYTHM supporting electrification project in Meghalaya
QNET CSR Arm supports an electrification project to light up the lives of 470 villages in Meghalaya
QNET’s CSR arm, RYTHM Foundation, has partnered with Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE) to bring electricity and upgraded healthcare infrastructure with the help of solar energy for remote tribal communities, including 470 villages (catering to over 23,000 residents) in Meghalaya. This “Empowering Northeast India” project is another step QNET and RYTHM took.
Since 2013, GHE has tried to help these communities gain access to clean energy and education with sustainable and environmentally beneficial technological solutions. RYTHM has partnered with GHE to bring solar energy to the village of Rongdo, Ladakh and has enabled digital education access to schools in Skagyam and Sato villages in Ladakh. A plug-and-play solar microgrid is installed in each home. GHE also trained villagers in solar grid maintenance and troubleshooting basics. So far, GHE has brought solar electricity to more than 150 villages across India, impacting over 100,000 lives.

Corporates raise awareness on the 2nd International Day of Clean Air for blue skies
International Day of Clean Air of Blue Skies is celebrated on the 7th of September by the UN general assembly. It aims to raise awareness and make people and corporations act on it for better air quality and climate change mitigation. Organisations such as Acer India, Devic Earth and QNET Ltd have addressed this issue.
