Picture this conversation:
“Hey! Want to make some quick money on the side? I’ve got this gig – 25 din me paisa double!”
“Really??”
“Yes, all you have to do is invest some money and pay this registration fee, I’ll take care of the rest”
“Sign me up!”
“You can use your credit card to make the payment for the Investment now, and in about 3 months you’ll be able to get good returns. Give me your details, I’ll sign you up and make the payment immediately.”
Cut to 3 months later
You realise you’ve been misled and weren’t aware of some hidden policies. Which business was being spoken of in the first place?
Now you’re in debt and scratching your head, asking yourself ‘How did I get here?’ And just like that, you are convinced that direct selling is a scam.
This is how the trouble starts. A few Independent Distributors get greedy, and in an effort to make a quick buck, resort to unethical practices unbecoming of the direct selling business they represent. Although these distributors are few and far between, they end up soiling the name of reputable direct selling companies like QNET through their unprofessional conduct.
Direct selling is a legitimate business model, but often gets a bad rep because of a few bad apples in the bunch and the misinformation around the business model. QNET is no different. We encourage our distributors to always be honest about our business model and not mislead or force anyone to sign up or buy a product.
QNET isn’t your stroll in the park; it’s a hustle, a grind, a journey that demands relentless effort. Like any legitimate business, direct selling through QNET requires you to roll up your sleeves and work tirelessly. Consider if you’ve got what it takes for the hard-core sales game. If within your first 30 days of signing up as an Independent Distributor, you realise the hustle isn’t for you, it’s better to step back and reassess your path.
The Official Red Lines of QNET are:
- Failing to inform at the outset or otherwise deceiving or misleading prospects or Distributos in relation to QNET.
- Violation of applicable laws and/or QNET Policies and Procedures.
- Registration of any prospect who does not have legal capacity to enter a valid contract.
- Misrepresentation or defamation of QNET’s name, business, products, policies, procedures, employees and /or pretending to be a QNET employee.
Watch out for the QNET India Red Alerts!
- No Entry Below 21: Don’t even think about approaching anyone under the age of 21 to join the QNET direct selling business. It’s simple, just don’t do it. Let them mature, let them grow to an age where they can think for themselves and make their own decisions. QNET does not allow anyone below this age to be registered as an Independent Distributor as per their Policies & Procedures.
- Reveal your QNET Distributor Identification Card: Honesty is the only policy. Never weave a web of lies about QNET’s business nature or the benefits of its products. Share your QNET Distributor Identification Card bare in every prospecting and sales meeting. It’s the best way to add credibility to your claims and build a bridge of trust with your prospect.
Would you want to work with people you can’t trust? …Exactly, no one does.
- Lose the Misleading Tactics: Don’t mislead your prospects with false information. The truth is your most potent weapon – use it to your benefit. Be honest about the business model, you can’t force something that’s not meant to be.
You’ll have to make up 10 more lies just to cover up 1 – you end up in a never-ending spiral of lies. Is that really worth it?
- Compensation ≠ Investment: The Compensation Plan is NOT an investment opportunity. Lying about the compensation plan and presenting it as more than what it is, or promising something that is unrealistic, is a big no-no! Stick to the terms and conditions of the QNET India Business Plan instead of giving wrong information.
- No Hidden Policies: Be transparent about the Product Buy-Back and Product Replacement policies; don’t keep your customers in the dark. Every QNET (India) product comes with a 30-Day buy-back guarantee!

- Not a Job Offer: QNET isn’t a job, nor does it offer shares in the company. Be crystal clear about that. Don’t go making unrealistic promises or misrepresenting what the QNET business opportunity really is.
- Hands Off Personal Documents: Don’t ever use your prospects’ PAN Card/Adhaar Card to register as a Distributor on their behalf. QNET’s KYC is a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) process for a reason – the individual must willingly and personally be involved in the registration process.
- No Forced Sign-Ups: Never coerce a prospect into becoming a QNET Distributor or buying products. We don’t want you to force your prospect to sign up to QNET or even make purchases for that matter, respect their decision above all. They should want to do it of their own volition. Besides, no business wants someone who doesn’t want to be there.
- Cash Collection Caution: Don’t misuse the QNET name or business opportunity to collect cash advances or deposits under false pretences. You can only ask your prospects to make a product purchase fromQNET’s proprietary eStore. Do Not ask them to transfer money in your personal bank account. We condemn illegal transfers and any other activities of the sort.
- Truth About Registration Fee: Always tell the truth about the zero registration fee to join QNET as a Distributor in India.

- Price and Activation Honesty: Avoid lies about the price of QNET products or the activation requirements for doing business as a QNET Distributor.
- No Phantom Sign-Ups: Don’t sign up on behalf of a prospect without their knowledge or use false information to register. It’s exploitative and not what our brand stands for.
- Licence Requirements: If you lack the necessary business or training licence, refrain from setting up a Distributor office or using the QNET name for such endeavours.
- Residential Respect: Don’t establish offices in non-permitted residential areas that disrupt the peace and tranquillity. The last thing we want you to do is be a nuisance to the residents of an area.
- You are not a QNET employee: Never pose as a QNET employee. Stay true to your role of Independent Distributor. Nobody wants to be something they’re not, right?
- Trademark Respect: Respect QNET logos and trademarks; obtain prior written approval for their use. It’s a breach of our brand’s integrity and could possibly put you in some legal trouble.
