World Kindness Day, a day to remind us to focus on the power of positive action and the need to make the world a better place with kindness.
We have all grown up listening to stories of how kindness transformed the world. Mahatma Gandhi, Guru Nanak Dev, Buddha, all of them teach us how they, through small acts of kindness, helped bring about big changes to the world we live in today.
Kindness is how we express care, concern, and consideration for ourselves and those with whom we share the world. Kindness is one of the most powerful forces for good in the world. We don’t need just one day to remind us to be kind to each other. We have to make kindness the norm, not the exception
Join QNET today in making a pledge to building a life which includes intentional moments of kindness, laughter and delight. If you can be anything in the world, be kind. It is the motto that, if followed, holds power to create a ripple of change in this world.
We take a look back at some important moments in our journey when we were able to bring hope and joy to people’s lives.
Access To Clean Drinking Water
Clean water is a basic human necessity. It is essential for healthy living. Sadly, a vast majority of the population in our country doesn’t have access to clean drinking water.
QNET has partnered with Lions club India to bring clean water to kids at the Government Primary School at Sriram Nagar in Hyderabad. The improvement in the quality of drinking water has impacted the children in their overall growth.
Educating For A Better Tomorrow
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” said Nelson Mandela.
The world we live in today has so much potential going in vain because education is getting expensive. Though most of the kids in India want to study, their parents cannot afford to send them to schools.
QNET partnered with the Lions Club of Hyderabad, Swarnapuri, and identified 1200 qualified children from Grade 6 and above, whose families could afford basic school supplies. Under QNET’s We Care initiative, the company sponsored uniforms and school supplies for these children.
Giving people the Power of Mobility
We take our legs for granted. We don’t realize how much we walk for even the simplest tasks on a day to day basis. It’s only when you lose the ability to walk you realise what an important role it plays in your life. Losing a limb can have a deep psychological impact on people.
QNET was able to make a difference in the lives of 50 individuals who had lost a limb in tragic circumstances. All of them were from low income backgrounds and could not afford a prosthetic leg. Thanks to a partnership with Lions Club, QNET organised a camp and sponsored the Jaipur Foot for 50 people, some who have waited nearly 4 years for a chance to walk again.
This World Kindness Day, let’s celebrate kindness and Raise Yourself To Help Mankind (RYTHM).
