The QNet community is made up of busy, entrepreneurial women who don’t have a lot of time to themselves. They are multitasking as mothers, wives, caretakers, homemakers, and businesswomen.
This busy schedule sometimes just doesn’t leave many of you amazing women with enough time for an elaborate skin care routine. We know that when you stand up on stage at events, make a presentation or conduct training, you want to look your best. With the daily stresses of being a busy entrepreneur, looking after your skin can sometimes feel like the last thing you want to do.
Here are a few things to keep in mind about your skincare routine, even when things are really busy.
Quality, not Quantity
When it comes to your skin, it’s about quality rather than quantity. You could be a complete skin care junkie and use ten products just in your nighttime routine, but if they are irritating, clogging or drying your skin out, then it really doesn’t matter how many products you are using—the products will not deliver the results you want.
Use gentle products
If every product that touches your skin is gentle, then your products—even if you’re only using a few—should work well for your skin. Harsh, drying products are a no-no. To be a smart skin care consumer, you must read what is in your skin care formula.
Make it Count
It’s so important to make sure we take care of ourselves by working out, eating the right foods and nourishing our skin and soul – even if it means the house stays a little messy. Make this your time for self-care.
Appearance is a crucial part of our identities and grooming is a form of self-care that allows us to feel like ourselves when our worlds become chaotic. Give yourself 10-15 minutes a day (surely, you can spare that out of 24 hours!) and spend that time caring for yourself.
The time that you take out of your busy life to care for your skin should help you feel good about yourself.
Removing makeup before bed is a must. We know a lot of women prefer to quickly grab a makeup removing wipe to clean up, but we have found that many makeup wipes can end up doing more damage than good.
Cleansing wipes don’t effectively clean the skin. Instead, they just smear dirt, bacteria, oil, and makeup across the face. It’s like applying cleanser to your face and then not washing it off, or skipping the rinse cycle of your laundry.
Instead use a gentle, hypoallergenic cleanser, which is an easy yet effective method to emulsify and remove your make up.
The creamy Comfort Emulsion cleanser from the Physio Radiance skincare range has a pH equivalent to that of your tears! It immediately emulsifies upon coming into contact with damp skin. Your skin will be clean, soft and fresh, and your complexion will be enhanced in just a matter of seconds.
Don’t Forget the Serum
Make the serum your skin’s new best friend. Serums have multiple purposes and can pack quite a punch into your skincare routine, without needing 10 different products to do the trick. Adding a serum to your skincare can make a significant difference to the way your face looks and feels.
Cleansers and moisturizers usually contain between 5 and 10% active ingredient, whereas serums can contain up to 70%. This means that you’ll actually get results, whether you’re looking to even tone, reduce fine lines, brighten, firm or get rid of dark spots.
The Anti-Oxidant Serum from Physio Radiance has an extreme concentration of powerful anti-ageing active ingredients and has proven to be a bit hit with the QNet community.
We recommend these two routines, one for the morning and one before you go to bed.
3-minute morning routine:
- Use the Physio Radiance Comfort Emulsion Cleanser to wash your face when you are in the shower.
- Immediately after you step out of the shower, use the Remineralising Toner Lotion on your face. It will give your skin an immediate feeling of freshness and helps in the process of remineralising the skin.
- Moisturise your face and neck with Radiance Enhancer Day & Night Fluid. The light and silky fluid forms a protective veil that cares for your skin throughout the day and night.
4-minute evening routine:
- Remove your makeup with the Comfort Emulsion Cleanses.
- Tone your skin with the Remineralising Toner Lotion.
- Use the xtreme Anti-Oxidant Serum from the Physio Radiance skincare range to add firmness and density to your skin.
- Moisturise with Radiance Enhancer Day & Night Fluid.
On average, skin cells cycle through their natural process of growing and falling off the surface every 4 weeks. Which is why, it is important not to forget this one important aspect skincare, which you can squeeze in on weekends.
The process of exfoliation rids the body of any dry, dull skin by removing dead skin cells from the surface of the epidermis. This keeps pores from becoming clogged and leaves skin feeing clean and refreshed. Exfoliating twice a week with a good scrub or a loofah will ensure you have glowing radiant skin.
Do not underestimate the power of water. Our bodies are 90% water. If you have to travel on a long flight or are spending long hours on the road, your skin will be the first to feel it. Ensure you drink plenty of water every day. Most doctors agree that drinking 2-3 litres of water a day is essential for the body to function optimally.
