Climate change has been recognised as a threat to our planet for years. Rising temperatures and dwindling natural resources demand urgent and collective action from all of us. While we can’t undo the damage we’ve already done, we can certainly do our part to make sure we don’t make things worse.
With the global population estimated to reach close to 10 billion by 2050, our planet’s resources are only becoming scarce with every passing day. This is a crisis we simply cannot afford to ignore.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), QNET’s RYTHM Foundation is committed to balancing the needs of our growing societies with the health of our planet. Sustainability is a fundamental principle at QNET that guides our operations and decisions at every step.
Our Green Legacy encapsulates our commitment to a greener world as we aim to foster a sustainable future for generations to come.
Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
Our journey towards sustainability begins with responsible living. We believe in playing an active role in the cycle of life and making conscious choices to minimise our environmental impact. We have integrated sustainable practices into our global operations, setting a benchmark for the industry with the 4 pillars of our green legacy.
- Strategic Product Development – Our holistic purpose-led approach to product development minimises waste and optimises resource utilisation. By carefully considering the entire lifecycle of our products, from sourcing raw materials to end-of-life management, we aim to reduce our environmental footprint.
- Ethical Supply Chain – Our supply chain partners are carefully selected based on their commitment to environmental sustainability and labour standards. For example, QNET only partners with suppliers who are certified members of The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) to reduce the presence of unlawful mining practices in our jewellery line, Kinnari.
- Sustainable Culture – Every employee at QNET is empowered to drive sustainability initiatives. By creating awareness and providing opportunities for employee engagement, we build a workforce that is passionate about protecting our planet.
- Green Footprint – Our global presence allows us to create a lasting environmental impact through partnerships, advocacy, and large-scale initiatives. We have already planted 15,000 trees across the globe since 2021.

Our Sustainability Initiatives
Aligned with global sustainability standards, QNET’s parent company, the QI Group, is a member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). This commitment to transparency and accountability is reflected in our various sustainability initiatives:
- #GoMeatFree – The livestock industry is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water pollution. We believe that reducing meat consumption is crucial to mitigating these impacts. All QNET offices and events have adopted a strict meat-free policy.
- #GoPlasticFree – Single-use plastics pose a severe threat to our environment. QNET has taken a firm stance against plastic by banning single-use plastics in all offices, events, and conventions. We have switched to sustainable product packaging, and partnering in various eco-learning and promotion activities through the RYTHM Foundation.
- Employee Volunteering – Through the RYTHM Foundation, we support employee volunteering, allowing them to fulfil their desires of giving back to their communities.
Since 2013, our employees have made a tangible difference by dedicating over 100,000 hours to volunteerism in more than 20 countries.
As the social impact arm of the QI Group, the RYTHM Foundation also actively supports the Group employees in their social responsibility activities to fulfil their desire to give back to communities. Since initiating the volunteer programme in 2013, QI’s employees have dedicated over 100,000 hours to volunteerism in more than 20 countries.
Making a Difference in India
QNET has partnered with Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE) to bring sustainable energy solutions to remote villages in Meghalaya. Life there is a stark contrast to modern conveniences, with many villagers relying on candles and kerosene. This lack of electricity severely impacts health, especially for women giving birth under such conditions. With over 131 villages electrified and impacting 60,000+ lives, we are creating a sustainable future through community empowerment and training.

RYTHM Foundation’s partnership with Alaap addresses issues of poverty, deforestation and gender equality through reforestation and women’s empowerment. In Uttarakhand, Alaap is restoring forests using the Miyawaki method while providing livelihoods for women. By creating employment opportunities and empowering communities, Alaap is building a sustainable future.
