QNET’s products are designed to help people live healthier and improve their lifestyle and livelihood. QNET is headquartered in Hong Kong and has offices and agencies in more than 25 countries worldwide, who provide support to its growing base of customers and distributors. In addition to providing quality products, QNET’s customers can also take advantage of the direct selling business offered by QNET by promoting its products and services to others. Millions of satisfied customers in more than 100 countries have become distributors of QNET’s products by earning commissions on product sales.

Direct selling is a method of marketing and retailing goods and services directly to the consumers, in their homes, or in any other location away from permanent retail premises. Such type of sales is largely driven by word-of-mouth referrals. Products sold through direct selling companies have unique features, are exclusive to the company, and are not available in malls or department stores.

The direct selling industry has been thriving on this type of relationship-based marketing for more than 150 years. Approximately 100 million people around the world are involved in this industry in both part-time and full-time capacities.

QNET is a direct selling company that offers a wide range of products in the area of health, wellness, lifestyle and education through an e-commerce platform. We sell supplements, skincare products, homecare goods, online courses, travel packages, watches, jewelry and many more. QNET’s products are designed to help people live healthier, and improve their lifestyle and livelihood.

QNET is a subsidiary of the QI Group of Companies. QNET is the direct selling business of the QI Group which has a number of other business interests.

Companies change their names frequently for reasons such as branding, variations in lines of business, and marketing. In our case, this was done for strategic business purposes. When QNET was founded in 1998 it offered only one product: commemorative gold coins. As the company added more products to its portfolio and the e-commerce platform evolved, the name GoldQuest was no longer suitable and it was changed to QuestNet, and then shortened to QNET.

Definition

NO. QNET is NOT an investment scheme. In fact, it is not any type of scheme at all. It is a legitimate direct selling business where you only pay money to purchase products. If you are interested in becoming a distributor of QNET products, you can sign up as an Independent Representative (IR) through our e-commerce portal at www.QNET.net.

NO. QNET is not a job opportunity. Our Independent Representatives own their own business and are not employed by QNET. The company does not hire or select Independent Representatives. Potential IRs attend business presentations and training programs conducted by other IRs and they are free to decide whether this business is suitable for them.

To answer this question, it is important to first understand the difference between a legitimate direct selling company and a pyramid scheme. The key difference is that, in an illegal pyramid scheme, one gets commission for recruiting more people under him/herthem; whereas in a genuine direct selling companyies, commissions are paid only based on the sales of products. Even if a person has a large network of people under him/herthem, but they have not neither retailed nor purchased any product, they don’t earn any commissions.

They rely on recruiting new representatives instead of product sales to profit (not product sales), charge reps members large To answer this question, it is important to first understand the difference between a legitimate direct selling company and a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal and the vast majority of their participants lose money. They rely on recruiting new representatives instead of product sales to profit, charge members large upfront fees, and convince them to buy large amounts of inventory that is not returnable. Their products generally have little or no actual value.

Lack of understanding is usually to blame for people mistaking legitimate direct selling companies for scams. Often, when people complain about a direct selling company, it is either due to them not realising how much work is actually involved in building a successful business or because someone else misled them. As a result, companies like QNET are often victims of endless media accusations, speculations, and baseless complaints.

QNET operates in countries with the most sophisticated and stringent laws and regulations governing this industry, such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Germany, where our operations are completely legal and compliant with local laws.

We know that some people in network marketing may engage in unethical practices, making the industry an easy target for slurs like this. QNET has always complied with local regulations in any country it has operated in, paid taxes, contributed to numerous philanthropic activities, and reinvested in the country. We also instil a strict code of professional conduct in our distributors and penalise those who violate our Policies and Procedures.

To help combat this issue, it is important for various emerging economies to recognise that direct selling is a thriving industry creating microentrepreneurs who contribute to their communities, and institute the necessary legislation to govern the industry, to clearly distinguish the scams from the genuine direct selling companies.
We strongly dispute the credibility of the Wikipedia entry on QNET.  But we can’t do much about it as Wikipedia’s policy does not allow a company representative, a PR agency, or anyone with a stake in the matter to edit entries. We have lodged a complaint with Wikipedia administrators about the heavy bias of the entry and a debate has been opened on their ‘Neutral Point of View’ noticeboard.

Please also note that Wikipedia is not considered a reliably authentic source of information, which the site itself acknowledges. Wikipedia is a public forum where anyone, even you, can edit an entry. This means, while many of the entries are well-documented and checked for quality, they can still be manipulated to a point that the false information may be undetectable.

If you have questions about QNET, we suggest contacting the company directly.

Legal Matters

Due to the nature of the direct selling business model, almost every single company in this industry has faced challenges in new and emerging markets. Direct selling is not very well understood in many countries, and a lack of regulation creates confusion and misunderstanding. However, QNET is not banned in any country.

In 2009, Rwanda’s Ministry of Finance issued a notice banning QNET because our operations were not localised at the time. We opened a dialogue with the government and addressed their concerns, and in 2012, we set up a local company in Rwanda, following which the Ministry of Finance revoked the ban. This company now serves as our East African hub.

In Saudi Arabia, the government issued a ban on direct selling and the entire network marketing industry. QNET was not singled out. However, we were one of the fastest growing direct selling companies in Saudi at one point and had gained significant prominence; this is why media reports had often mentioned QNET when they covered the country’s overall ban on the industry.

Reputation

Given the vast number of customer orders we receive and ship, seamlessly and

successfully, the number of complaints are relatively few. Upon scrutiny, we have discovered many of these complaints are not even from real IRs or customers of the company. If a customer or an IR files a complaint with QNET’s customer service department, these are logged into the system and tracked diligently until the matter is resolved.

The challenge we face with online complaints are:

People who claim to have faced issues with QNET but have never filed a formal complaint with QNET.

People who claim they are customers or IRs of QNET, but have no record in our database based on the names or email addresses they have used on the online forums.

People making unreasonable claims for refund years after they have purchased a product.

Disgruntled IRs who realised that the direct selling business was not for them and found the hard work of an entrepreneur difficult to undertake. Many of them use online platforms and social media to vent their anger and frustration.

Fair or not, social media allows people to say anything without fear of consequence, and in many cases, under the cloak of anonymity. In any event, complaints filed with our Global Support Centre (GSC) are taken seriously, and are responded to in a timely manner.
QNET has a strong code of ethics for IRs to model their behaviour on. We also have a dedicated training program titled QNET Pro that focusses on teaching IRs the basics of the QNET business, the Do’s and Don’ts, building a sustainable business through ethical practices and being a professional business leader.

At QNET, we pursue a zero-tolerance policy for any misrepresentation or unethical practices of Independent Representatives (IRs) promoting the business. Genuine complaints are dealt with firmly. In fact, over a period of last 5 years, the company has terminated over 750 IRs who have been found to be in violation of our policies and procedures. We have a well-established redressal system for addressing any IR / customer complaints including misrepresentations by the IRs. There is a dedicated network compliance department that monitors the network of Independent Representatives.

However, we can only take action if the complaint or grievance is brought to the company’s attention. We have a very clear 30-day refund policy. If a person has been fraudulently made to purchase a product and registered as a distributor, without realising what they were getting into, they can cancel their order and terminate their contract with us within the 30-day period, and give us the details of the person who misled them. We will refund the person and take necessary action against the person who misrepresented.
Just like any other business opportunity, QNET business requires hard work to increase the probability of achieving success. Those who join the business must have the determination to work hard to be successful. Otherwise, they will fail in the business just like anyone else conducting any other business.

QNET has never claimed to offer a get-rich-quick scheme or guarantee success. In fact, we have a clear Earnings Disclaimer displayed on our website and in our marketing materials.

Remember that IRs only make commissions on product sales and not on recruitment or referrals.
Like all business, people move on for all sorts of reasons — life changes, new opportunities, or because it wasn’t what they expected. Direct selling business is not for everyone. Those who walk into it armed with information, having done their homework and approaching it like the entrepreneurial opportunity that it is, understand what it takes to succeed. However, there are many people who do not fully understand what they are getting into and expect to start making money overnight. This is when the challenges begin.

It is important to understand that direct selling, just like any other business, requires hard work. To succeed, you need to be committed, stay focussed on your goals, and be willing to work hard. Direct selling is not a get-rich-quick scheme, but when it’s done right, it can be really rewarding.

Most IRs of QNET are happy with their experiences building a business. For others, the amount of work required isn’t worth it. Those who venture into QNET or any other direct selling business for that matter, without clearly understanding what is involved, soon realise that they are not prepared for it, and that this business is not for them.

For every person who gives up, there are stories of those who persevered and are living proof that QNET has the potential to change lives for the better. Read their stories.

Some of those who have left the QNET business have stated that they learned valuable business skills, especially in sales, marketing, and people management while doing the QNET business.

Challenges in India

QNET has organised a number of events and conferences for its independent representatives all over the world, where certain Bollywood actors have been present as invited guests or as motivational speakers. This is not an unusual business practice all over the world by different companies to promote brand awareness. Celebrities are often invited to be part of international events by corporate entities. This does not make them a business partner or shareholder of the company.

QNET or Vihaan do not ask for any investments. Vihaan operates QNET’s business in India, which is a direct selling business that promotes a number of products and services in the area of nutrition, wellness and lifestyle to customers in India through an e-commerce portal.

Customers have two options -

a) They can simply buy a product because they have a need for it, or like it and choose to remain retail customers.

b) They can sign up to be distributors of the products (official term for this is independent representative or IR). When they sign up as IR, they will receive commissions on volume of products sold. That is the only way to earn money at QNET.
QNET operates through its sub-franchisee, Vihaan which is registered under VAT No: 29500670395 and Service Tax No: ADCV8173FSD001 in India.

It is also incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 and allotted No. U52399KA2011PTC060730.

As per the direct selling guidelines issued by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs in September 2016, the nodal authority for the direct selling industry is the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and its state counterparts.
The situation surrounding QNET in India and in Mumbai particularly appears to be some form of orchestrated sustained attack on the company to undermine our reputation and prevent us from competing fairly and openly in India. The manner in which an unmerited claim of fraud over a non-existent commercial transaction amounting to Rs.32,000 was escalated to the Economic Offences Wing is highly irregular. On the basis of this complaint, which cannot be substantiated on the face of the FIR itself, in a rather puzzling move, authorities arrested a number of QNET IRs and company officials of our franchisee Vihaan Direct Selling in India, and froze assets.

After a 3 year long investigation arising from this, the case went up all the way to the Supreme Court of India, which in March 2017 has stayed all further FIRs and investigations into the company. You may read the news report about it here (link to: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/mumbai/michael-ferreira-gets-bail-after-sc-stays-QNET-multilevel-marketing-cases/articleshow/57864143.cms)

On a similar matter, the Karnataka High Court has also passed an order quashing the FIR against the company and its executives. In his order throwing out the FIR, Justice Anand Byrareddy clearly states that MLM does not constitute offences under the PCMC Act, or the charge of cheating under IPC. In fact, the order goes on to refer to the advisory from the central government on the guidelines for the direct selling industry that specifies that all activities of such business must be guided by the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.

QNET’s business model is sound and we stand by it. We have been around for 20 years. No fraud company can last that long. Unfortunately, a lack of proper legislation for direct selling in India has led to many companies including us being investigated under various Acts, such as Prize Chits and Money Circulation (Banning) Act that have nothing to do with what direct selling companies do.

Sebi and other similar regulators typically investigate investment related companies and schemes. QNET is neither. We are a direct selling business and sell products and services.
The biggest challenge the Indian direct selling industry faces today is that of regulatory uncertainty and lack of legislative support in expressly recognizing the industry as falling outside the prohibitions of the PCMC Act.

The PCMC Act is a ‘banning’ act and not a ‘regulating’ act. It sets out a framework to ban certain activities, which come under the purview of ‘Prize Chits’ and ‘Money Circulation’. QNET’s business, in the definition in the said Act, is neither prize chits nor money circulation. The Act deals with the banning of a scheme, which is aimed at making quick or easy money and on the happening of a contingent event. In the case of QNET, we neither fall under the category of making quick and easy money, nor is there any event which is contingent in nature. Also, there is no ‘entry fee’ or periodical subscription required here pursuant to Section 2(c) of the Act.

Section 2(c) the PCMC Act defines “money circulation schemes” as:

“… any scheme, by whatever name called, for the making of quick or easy money, or for the receipt of any money or valuable thing as the consideration for a promise to pay money, on any event or contingency relative or applicable to the enrolment of members into the scheme, whether or not such money or thing is derived from the entrance money of the members of such scheme or periodical subscriptions”

The Act bans all illegal money circulation schemes. It does not regulate the direct selling or MLM industry.
QNET as a matter of policy adheres to strong principles of legal business, transparency and corporate governance. All documentation pertaining to the operations of its Indian Franchisee Vihaan Direct Selling (VDS) and its financial transactions have been provided to the investigators at the EOW.

Additionally:

Vihaan’s financial accounts are audited with a clear traceable history of all financial transactions. All documents demonstrating the same have been already submitted to the EOW.

More than 50,000 pages of documentation have been submitted to EOW.

QNET’s business runs on an eCommerce platform. All product sales transactions are transparent and cleared through a third-party payment gateway, cheques or through Demand Drafts.

QNET has also publicly refuted any and all allegations of money laundering which has been carried in the media in the past. As such, this allegation remains completely wild and speculative in nature.
We have established an SOP to first verify the identity of the person either through their PAN card or Aadhar card.

All new IRs receive a phone call from our support team and they follow a detailed checklist of questions to ensure the person is aware of the business he/she has signed up for and understands what product they have purchased.

This is followed by a standard KYC check.

Then a One Time Password (OTP) is issued to the registered mobile number of the independent representative, so as to authenticate his/her registration process.

Only after this, the IR’s registration is successfully completed with QNET.

After this, the new IR can login to their Virtual Office on the QNET website and find all the relevant documents related to their business.
Vihaan, the sub-franchisee of QNET in India is involved in the business of buying and selling of goods and services and uses the direct selling model for sale of its products.  Vihaan sells various products to the end customers on payment of the purchase price through its e-commerce portal. The products are then sent to the buyers within a short, reasonable period, thereby completing the process of sale between Vihaan and the buyer. Hence, the entire procedure is strictly in compliance of the provisions of the Sale of Goods Act. The purchaser thereafter has no right to the money paid to the company and the same cannot be treated as a ‘deposit’ for the purposes of Maharashtra Protection of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999, as the said transaction of taking advance against order for goods and services falls within the exception of section 2(c)(v)(d) of the MPID Act.

Therefore, no offence under the MPID Act can be attributed to the company when there is no deposit scheme involved in the business of Vihaan, which is the most important aspect for bringing a company under the purview of the MPID Act. Further Vihaan is not a financial establishment as it does not accept any deposit and neither does it accept any money or valuable commodity for any return in any form in the future.

QNET Business

Getting Started

QNET’s business combines the principles of two major industries – e-commerce and direct sales. Any customer purchasing a product from QNET can choose to take up the opportunity to become an Independent Representative (IR) or be just a consumer.

IRs earn commissions from the sale of products/services to their direct referrals, and also from the sales of products/services to the referrals made by their teams in line with our compensation plan (commission plan). It is important to note that commissions are paid only for the sale of products/services and not for referrals. IRs are typically introduced to the company’s products, services, and business plan by other IRs who have taken up the business opportunity.

The company holds intensive training programs and business development sessions for customers wishing to benefit from the business opportunity. During the trainings, they are advised on our policies and procedures, the business model, the compensation plan, and the proper and ethical business practices. IRs, in turn, build their own teams whom these sessions are then conducted for.

QNET Terms

Completing the eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process with QNET is a straightforward task that only takes a few minutes. To begin, make sure you have a valid ID, such as a national ID, passport, or driver’s license, in the same name used during your registration with QNET. Next, access the eKYC menu through your Virtual Office on the web or the QNET Mobile App on your phone or device. From there, select the eKYC option and follow the steps: take a clear selfie and a photo of your valid ID. Submit these documents, and the system will quickly verify their authenticity and cross-check the information against your QNET registration details. This process usually takes less than a minute, and upon completion, you’ll see a “KYC VERIFIED” badge on your account when logging into the Virtual Office or Mobile App.

QNET’s Role

Customers learn about QNET products and services from existing Independent Representatives (IRs) of QNET. An IR is a person who registers on QNET’s website under a unique identification number and becomes entitled to provide marketing services to QNET by promoting its products and services among customers. An IR acts as an independent contractor and is not/cannot be considered an employee, agent, partner, or direct representative of QNET.

The relationship between QNET and IRs is regulated by QNET’s Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics, which focus on the IR’s fair and ethical practices as a QNET IR and their compliance with the laws of their country.

IRs must read and accept QNET’s Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics during their registration. We do not exclude the possibility of some IRs engaging in unethical business practices. Whenever we receive such allegations – from customers or other IRs – we investigate them and, if the evidence is strong, terminate and/or suspend the wrongdoer’s participation as an IR.
Once again, it’s important to remember that IRs are not employees of the company and cannot be called ‘sales representatives’. They are independent representatives, running their own business. As a company, QNET always ensures compliance with local laws and regulations.

When a customer decides to become an IR, he must sign and agree to a comprehensive Policies & Procedures document that provides the guidelines for conducting the business in an ethical manner. The company provides a wide variety of marketing collaterals such as magazines, newsletters, brochures, product profiles and videos to help the IR promote QNET’s products.

We conduct regular training programmes in different countries to educate IRs on QNET’s compensation plan, business model, products and, most importantly, the importance of ethical and professional marketing.

There are also ethical and professional guidelines, which all IRs have to adhere to without exception. If disciplinary or other issues arise, they are dealt with strictly. Disciplinary action can range from having to show cause to the complaints or charges levelled, leading to suspension and/or termination.

We also have a well-established Network Compliance Department (“NCD”) that is assigned to monitor network behaviour and ensure that IRs are conducting their business professionally and ethically. The NCD thoroughly investigates all complaints or claims against our IRs, and appropriate action is taken based on the findings of such investigations.

Earning

The only way to earn an income with QNET is through product sales. Once you use our products and enjoy them and refer others to purchase them, you can earn commissions on actual sales. QNET uses a compensation plan that calculates commissions payable to you based on the sales volume generated through your referrals in our e-commerce portal.

Many entrepreneurial people have taken advantage of our business model to build large sales teams and grow a successful business.

QNET is NOT an investment scheme or a job opportunity. It is a legitimate direct selling business where you only pay money to purchase products. If you are interested in becoming a distributor of QNET products, you can sign up as an Independent Representative (IR) through our e-commerce portal at www.QNET.net.

Direct selling is a business like any other. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme. To succeed in this business, you need to work hard, be patient and committed, and be goal-oriented. This business gives you the opportunity to become an entrepreneur. The only difference is that you do not have to worry about a large-scale start-up cost and operational overheads like in a traditional business. Your success depends entirely upon you and the hard work you put in.

Join QNET when you feel that you are ready. We don’t recommend potential IRs to go beyond their means to join the business. Calculate and understand the risks and business potential carefully before deciding to join.

This is not true. QNET is not an investment scheme and just like any other business opportunity, QNET business requires hard work to increase the probability of achieving success.

NO. You cannot make money in this business just by recruiting people without sales of products and services. Only pyramid schemes focus on recruiting people. Such schemes are not sustainable and will inevitably collapse. QNET’s business is based on a sustainable sales model that does not allow anyone to make money solely through recruitment. And that’s why even after 20 years, we continue to grow and expand internationally.

Running Your Business

There is no “recovering” as there is no investment. Individuals buy products they want to use, for the money they pay the company. If they choose to take advantage of the business opportunity, they can earn commissions from the purchases of people they refer to QNET. How much one earns therefore depends on how hard the person works towards building a sales business. Commissions are paid according to QNET’s Compensation Plan. Naturally, the more products you sell, the more you earn in commissions.

All our IRs are bound by the laws, rules and regulations of the countries in which they live and work. It is their obligation to pay any taxes or levies, as required by local laws. This is conveyed in our Policies and Procedures.

Our IRs do not ‘sell’ the products and services in the traditional manner. They just have to refer our products and services to prospective customers and are compensated in commissions when such customers make a purchase and in accordance with our compensation plan. Product prices are fixed. An IR cannot control or influence pricing in any way. A new customer makes the purchase directly from the company.

At QNET, every product and service is created with the Independent Representatives or distributors in mind. However, our commitment to you goes above and beyond as can be seen in the robust QNET Returns and Refunds Policy. We aim to provide you with the opportunity, the products and the service that you love, but if you are not happy, here is a list of our policies, simplified.

Once we’re notified about the cancellation of your contract, you’ll get your refund after a deduction of a reasonable administration fee charged by us and whatever fees your bank will charge you. The fees that will be deducted can vary depending on various factors including region, currencies, shipping and handling fees, and product(s) ordered.

In case of unpaid return delivery, a certain amount will be deducted from the total refund amount for product recovery. You will receive the refund amount as soon as administratively possible.

QNET products are generally comparable to other products you find in the market . Sometimes QNET products can be more expensive because of the unique idea of the products, the materials they are made of, or the technology used in making the products. QNET products are usually made exclusively for QNET.

QNET has been making cutting edge premium products for more than 20 years. Our products meet stringent quality standards and, depending on the product and service in question, they are backed by guarantees and/or manufacturer warranties.

QNET also conducts a quality audit to assess and evaluate the product supplier’s Quality Management System practices and adherence to it, prior to qualifying and selecting them. A Quality Assurance team also conducts a visual inspection of the product and facility of the manufacturer.

QNET acquires third party tests and certifications on benefit claims made by the supplier prior to vendor selection.
The direct selling business model is all about reaching out to customers and members with premium, exclusive products that are not generally available through retail stores. Most of these products, both durables or consumables have features and benefits that have to be explained to the customer, it is not something an individual would directly pick up off a rack. In the case of consumables, the efficacy of the product has to be established to ensure repeat purchase. The success of any direct selling company is reliant on this aspect.

Pricing is the prerogative of the manufacturer/seller. It maybe pertinent to note here that most consumer products have a cost of 30% of MRP and the remaining is distributed over marketing expenses and margins of the wholesaler and retailer. The formula applied by direct selling companies is the same.

QNET offers a diverse mix of products across various categories. There are over 300 product brands across segments of health and wellness, home care, lifestyle, luxury and personal care. Each of these products has been developed exclusively for QNET by international suppliers.

In this day and age, traditional advertising is getting less effective. People are more likely to purchase following the advice of people they know and trust. Therefore presentations made by Independent Representatives are more targeted and effective. Just like most direct selling companies in the industry, QNET counts on its Independent Representatives to sell its products and services. Our Independent Representatives promote and sell our products and services to earn sales commission. However, if you found our products or services on the internet and you’re interested to buy, you can simply make your purchase through our e-Store. Your orders will be delivered to you via mail or via electronic delivery.

Different things can cause different allergic reactions. Our skin care products do not contain the most common allergens, but all natural extracts and essential oils can still cause different skin reactions. This does not mean that the skincare products are of poor quality, but it only shows the body’s possible allergic reactions to a particular plant component. It is always recommended to carefully read the ingredients of a skincare product and check for allergic reactions by applying a small amount of product first.

Health

Mix EDG3 (one sachet for adults; half a sachet for children 6 to 12 years old) in 120ml water, stir well and consume immediately. Consume daily before meals.

Unlike market glutathione product, EDG3 is a precursor, which is the nutrients needed by your body, to produce the glutathione. Your body utilise the amino acid in EDG3 to produce glutathione naturally. EDG3 provides the necessary building blocks for the body to generate glutathione the exact way nature intended. That’s why it is safe without any side effects. Your body will determine how much glutathione to produce, and it will not shut down its own synthesis process like other market glutathione product.

No, EDG3 doesn’t cure diseases. EDG3 is a supplement, it is not a drug and is not meant to treat or cure any medical conditions. EDG3 is a supplement that helps your body naturally make glutathione, a natural antioxidant produced by your body to boost your immunity and improve your well-being.
